FOR WE ARE ALL SEEKING SOMETHING.

Like how Western media portrays the significance of transitioning into adulthood through 'coming-of-age' movies, music, and photos, the urge to embark on this adventure of introspection and self-discovery pushed me to do the same. I thought that fully immersing myself in a foreign land that somehow still holds some familiarity would be the best option, for it would stand right outside my comfort zone. Japan hence seemed like the ideal choice: it was safe, modern, and a place I could easily blend into, but I would still remain a stranger to it.

December 2019 thus marked the start of my 8-day solo-trip, where I learnt a few lessons along the way -- lessons that I thought I would document here, since most things on the Internet remain on it forever, as well as the many photos I took during the trip.
